Busy and Coughing

Hello everyone! This last term was the term from hell. I still have to get caught up with sorority stuff but, until I get a working computer, I can't really do that. My laptop somehow caught a virus and I'm still working on fixing it, my tablet decided to no longer connect to the internet, and I've been coughing for a week straight.

Needless to say I'm not doing Nanowrimo this year. I'm still going to try and incorporate writing since I'll only have 3 classes next term. I've been thinking about what I want to work on coming up. I still need to finish up my book but I keep thinking further along into my story. I may buckle down tonight and next few days so I can get some writing done before my term starts up again.

Also, as you may have seen on Twitter, I have a lovely kitty named Bella now. Technically she's my dad's cat, and she adores him, but since I'm still living there until May I consider her my kitty as well. Also my boyfriends father is getting closer to getting onto a kidney transplant list. They need to check on his heart, see if surgery is necessary, then once he's recovered he sounds like he has a chance of getting onto the list.

I may also end up doing a Channillo story. I would most likely be changing the subject but it would be nice for a side income. I may also apply for a campus job so I can start saving money for after college. I'm hoping my version of this story will be completed by May so I can get it out there. I thought I would have been done at least a year ago but I expected the process to take longer than expected. Alright, hopefully my next post can show how I was productive! Have a good evening!

Twenty Days Away

Hello everyone! I hadn't realized it's been a while since my last blog post. I've been living day by day this term especially with the amount of homework I have. Which, I'm currently avoiding, which is the worse time I could do this.

I also have spent the last two hours writing. Again, probably not good timing, but I've been going stir crazy since November is approaching. But at least I've been getting a lot of progress with my writing. Some of it is shaping differently than I expected but I like it so far.

If you're looking for an Audible book I definitely recommend The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern which is pretty amazing. I'm now listening to The Dragon Blood Omnibus by Lindsay Buroker and I flew through the first book of the trilogy.

I only have two more weeks until I get a week off and then proceed into three hard classes. But, theoretically, I have more free time this way. But until then I will be busy studying quite a bit. So, unless I'm avoiding homework again, I won't be posting until November.

That's all I had for this post. Yes, the Greek mythology idea fell through, but I'll attempt that over break. Until next time!

It's October Already?

Hello everyone! If you're looking for the Medea post it isn't here quite yet! I would have to rush it and that wouldn't be worth it. Anywho I realized that it turned October about five days ago. My time is flying by.

I had a depressing dream the other day. In my dream I had this amazing book concept I wanted to write. But, of course, I couldn't write due to time constraints. And I had hoped that I could write today but I couldn't even do that! I'm avoiding some homework just to even write this post!

I know I could probably manage my time better. But it's really hard to sometimes. I can't wait until Februrary when I pass on Treasurer to the next poor soul girl who actually likes accounting. I'm going to attempt to enter a short story contest or two so I can at least write something. And make a little bit of money (and getting publish would be pretty neat).

Alright, so my goal this week is to get my Medea post up, get some writing done, and get ahead on homework. It most likely won't be as easy as writing it on here but, I can be optimistic, and hope that I can get at least some of this stuff done. Oh, and I'm still listening to Night Circus, and it's pretty good! The only bad thing is Audible sometimes has huge chapters and that makes me sad to stop in between a chapter. Oh well. Have a lovely night and hopefully I can pop back in soon!

Frustration

Hello everyone! I had set up two blog posts but didn't realize they hadn't went through! So, I'm going to update those a bit, and then set them up again. I thought I was being clever by having them set to post at a certain time.

I've been quite busy! No time to write but I've started listening to an Audible book - The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. I didn't think I would like listening to a book, and while I'll probably buy a paper copy if I enjoy it, it's an interesting experience. So far it's a really cool book but I'm only an hour and a half into a 13.5 hour book!

It's also been thinking quite a bit about my book. While the subject isn't anywhere close to mine I'm noticing little details that I need to pay more attention to in my book. I can't wait until I get a gap where I can feel comfortable adding some writing in. I'll be busy harassing convincing people in my sorority to pay their dues. Until then, and when our pledging isn't as frequent, then I'll be less stressed.

So I will get my next blog post fixed up soon, after I take out the now irrelevant information! Also if you haven't checked out my twitter I've been a little chatty during Fear: The Walking Dead since it's the main show that I can actually watch live. Otherwise everything is recordings when I can't force myself to do homework. Such as, Hotel Impossible, which I adore. Alright, that'll be all for this little blurb. Until next time!

(Also, if you'd like to guest blog for free [since I'm a broke college student] feel free to contact me!)

Labor Day Weekend!

Hello everyone! I had every intention to get a few blog posts up before the end of August. As you can see, that didn't exactly work out. But the good news is that I'm surviving two weeks into my final year of college. Learning about Greek/Roman mythology just makes me want to write quite frequently. Sadly that hasn't been possible.

I haven't gotten a chance to pick up any of the writing books I recently bought! I was hoping to be able to write a review over them but that'll have to wait. My reading this term is quite heavy. But, thankfully, the amount of papers I have to write isn't quite as heavy as I expected it to be.

I'm hoping that, if I can get some of next weeks homework done, I'll have some time to write. I actually don't have that much more for my current plot to write. More of wrapping the story up, most likely leaving a cliffhanger, and then I could potentially start my next story. The one amazingly great thing about being a writer is that my main paper, that I need to do to finish college, will be 40-50 pages long. Thankfully I've written over 250 pages (plus all that writing that I decided to abandon to follow this plot) so I'm quite happy with it overall.

Alright, I'm going to be working on Nanowrimo blog post that I promised weeks ago. Also, I might include Greek of the Week and tell a bit about a Greek god/goddess. But for now, my brain is mush, so I'll focus on homework instead. :) Have a lovely evening everyone!

Be Nice to Everyone

Hello everyone! To the few who saw my previous post of this, I decided to update it, mostly because I thought of more to add to this post. But I will have some new information as well. Also a Nanowrimo post will be upcoming!

So on Saturday I volunteered for 7 hours doing phone calls! (For a group I no longer agree with, but if you want to get into the politics of it, send me a message at my email) Thankfully it was a simple 4 question survey, but it was amazing how mean people could be. I mean really I could write a whole blog post on how people should respond to people on the phone. Here's an example: "No thanks but have a good day." Is all you need to say. I would have rather heard that all day rather than phone hang ups or grumpy responses.

But if you need lines for a villain in a book you should definitely consider volunteering for doing surveys over the phone. Thankfully I only had one overly rude person but several other people got some sour callers. It's great because I didn't need to be overly social but it was enough to help a cause. I would now be more likely to participate in this kind of event in the future. However, not with the group I was with.

Alright, now that I've gotten that covered and updated, I also won't be going to Columbus this weekend because I don't agree with that group. Now, onto more recent content.

I haven't been writing much recently. I've gotten caught up in reading and I needed some space from my draft at the moment. As much as I really want to write, I decided that waiting and deciding how I want to approach the next section of my plot, is really for the best. I considered doing some side writing but I haven't quite gotten that far. I might try something outside my interest just to try something new.

Finally, if you need some good writing based books, check out Writer's Digest for $5 books! I snagged 5 different books so I could get free shipping. Their email made it sound like the sale will continue until the books run out, so go check them out! That's it for this post. And, yes, I did schedule it because otherwise I'd forget to publish it. Hopefully when college starts again I can be more consistent! Have a lovely day!!!

ONE YEAR!

Hello everyone! So, my blog just turned a year old. I've done a lot of exploring with my book and I'm feeling great about it. And I'm not sure how long I would have even stuck with my book if I didn't occasionally blog! So thanks for stopping by and reading my posts (especially when I'm not productive and writing).

So, regarding my book, I could potentially make my own cover now! I downloaded my Photoshop 8, which I didn't realized you could do without the disk, and I've been having quite a bit of fun with it. I most likely won't make my own cover. But, I could if I really wanted to. I'll have to play around with a bit to see if I can get the hang of it again.

Alright, so since it is my first year blog, I thought I could do something neat. I need a character name and he's pretty prominent. He's in his 40-50's (still need to go through my book timeline very carefully) and he's in charge of the young knights in my book. Now, I would prefer male names or gender neutral, but comment or email me with a name you think I should use. Preferably with a short backstory on why the name is important to you. :) His name is Mentor while I'm writing but he deserves a real name. Also the name doesn't need to be fantasy based. I'm using a mix of names because I certainly can't focused when every character has an elaborate name.

Last thing, I forgot to mention I'm now past 3,000 followers on Twitter! Whooo! I was in a pretty good habit of checking it everyday while I was in classes. Now it's a victory if I remember it. :) Alright, I think that'll be all. So comment away and have a good evening!

CAMP IS DONE!

Hello everyone!! I didn't mean to take another break away from posting. I've been either writing, sleeping, working, or watching pets. But, watching pets ended today so I can't keep forgetting to update this post! I'm finished Camp Nanowrimo with 79K! But, I think about 5k will be deleted since it was a bit rushed. Or I'll rework it into the story line.

Some good news is that my blog will be 1 year old on August 8th! Pretty crazy. Especially considering that it took half a year to get the domain name on here correctly (thanks again Google for being awesome!). Also, in case you didn't notice, the theme is updated on here! I think it's rather pretty (but that's just my opinion!). There is another design I really liked so it's hard to say how long this one will actually stay up.

Other than what I listed above I've been up to some other stuff as well. I've attended an AFP (Americans for Prosperity) meeting for a certification. They are a conservative grassroots focused on ensuring Americans can prosper. While I don't agree with all of their points I think I'll learn a lot from the certification.

I've went door knocking as volunteering with AFP (no one answered me since it was a Friday morning) but it was still fun. Plus it reminded me of one of the courses I completed last term (focused on surveys!). I'm going to a convention in Columbus, Ohio with AFP at the end of the month! I'm looking forward to that because it was only $25 and it'll take me outside of my comfort zone of politics.

Alright that's all for now! As usual I'm hoping my next blog post won't be too far away. I think it'll help once school starts again since half the time I don't know what day it is. I'm enjoying it because I know this is my last free summer. Have a lovely night!!!!

PS: Get Windows 10!!!!! Especially if you disliked the dual screen and apps. Trust me, it's really amazing!

Slightly Alive - bronchitis

Hello everyone! I planned on writing a post LAST Friday. Sadly, Friday night (7/10) is when all of my lovely cold symptoms popped up. I had spent last Wednesday-Friday in the Wisconsin Dells area which was pretty fun. However, catching this lovely cold, has not been fun. I just found out on Thursday that I do indeed have Bronchitis AND an inner ear infection.

Good news though! I did hand write about 7 pages in a large journal I took with. I had considered hand writing in my large journal still for a bit more before typing it up. I feel bad for my camp group for Camp Nanowrimo since I haven't been active but I'm pretty wiped out from being sick. Plus I've gotten a good section written on my computer since my last update.

Also, if you're planning on going to Wisconsin Dells, I would steer clear of  Mount Olympus. While it was decent enough to stay in (if you don't need dressers of any sort) and painted head boards that look realistic in the photos. And the theme park I thought was a bit overrated. It's nice if you enjoy wooden roller coasters or their "safe rides" (this happened while I was in the area). Now, it would be great for younger kids but NO ONE CHECKED US WHEN WE CAME IN! Yeah, we could have taken our newly bought Odachi sword and strolled right in!

Other than the theme park and the crazy driving there were some awesome things up there. For example, the sword shop called "On Point" sold us our cool sword and also made sure we knew how to clean it! And I bought a sweet pair of black fuzzy moccasins (great for my high arches). But I can't decide which of the next two actives were cooler. We went on the duck ride (old military vehicles that can go in river and on land) through Wisconsin rivers which was really pretty. Then we went to the Deer Park where you go around and feed the deer there. Yeah, deer would follow and BEG for food. Absolutely adorable. I guess that would be the main reason I go back to the Dells is to feed (and pet if you're lucky!) deer.

Anyways that's my rant/joys of Wisconsin Dells. I hate ranting but it was frustrating. Also, go see House on the Rock if you're going to the Dells. That is one very smart man who designed that area. Or really just drag your kids (assuming they aren't sick) out to see some nature! I plan on (attempting) to be more outdoorsy once my sickness is gone.

Also, I've decided as a broke college student the next country I should visit is Canada so I could potentially drive there (and not have to fly for a long time).Or try a long road trip (which I do despise) across the USA to tame my travel bug. I really hope one day my writing does sell so I can fund all of the places I'd love to visit in the world. That's all for now folks!

Happy 4th of July!!!

Hello everyone! This was supposed to publish back in June! I've been quite busy lately. Good news: my grandma's chicken is doing very well. She's actually back with the other two chickens. My boyfriends friends also came into town and we got to see them for several days! It was really fun and it'll be weird not having those guys around. But they eat quite a bit.

I decided to officially change my book. For Nanowrimo I'm actually going through and editing. So far I've thought of some ways to conveniently revamp some chapters. So far about the first 130 pages (double spaced) are good. But, later I may go back and edit out some of the stuff if it's not important.

I haven't figured out where I will stop off for this first book. I might honestly keep writing for all of July and then see where I good rest would be. I am feeling much better about this approach with the story. So, if I don't post as frequently that means I'm working on my writing! That will be all for tonight! Hopefully I'll be able to post more frequently. :)

Back Again

Hello everyone! This month apparently is not good for my blog posts. But, I'm finally done pet sitting and won't need to do so again for a while. Today was a bit of a sad day for me. My grandma has 3 chickens and the one was attacked today. We're thinking she defended the other two. It's sad but at least she's staying hydrated and she has antibiotics now. I'm hoping she makes a recovery but it's hard to say. :(

I've still been trying to decide on my trilogy still. I think I might combine everything I thought for the trilogy (since I technically stretched it out) into one book. Then I might leave it open ended in case if I think of more that I want to add and whatnot. And it would make my book longer which I would like more. So, that's my pending idea. I think I'm going to start editing from what my editor sent me and then move forward. Sadly a good chunk of what he edited will probably be taken out since it won't fit up anymore. Ughhhhhhh!

Yeah, and about Channillo, I need to get on that. I'll probably start that process tonight. I'll update everyone when I write my first post on there. I'm really excited about it but it's just been stressful lately. Just a whole lot going on.

So, I'll have another blog post up soon. I still need to review that book! And I know once Nano Camp starts I'll be more active as well. I believe that'll be all for tonight! Have a good evening!

Migraines Galore

Hello everyone! The last 3 days I've felt like crud due to reoccurring migraines and lack of sleep. I can't wait to be done pet sitting! The half hour drive TO the dogs is a bit tolling to say the least. Especially since I'm a night owl (considering I rarely post in the mornings).

Another reason why I haven't been posting is because I'm thinking about my trilogy. I feel like my second book is only a filler (with some good parts I can use). But, I feel like maybe my story would benefit with making it one long book and then consider adding onto the series. I'm not going to touch my story for another week and really think about if this is how I want to approach my story. It'll require a lot of editing and shifting things around.

So, I also haven't been working on my side story. I need to tweak some things before I publish it. But, hopefully I'll have better luck getting on a computer soon. Bad news about my computer (with the broken screen) is that it'll cost $350 to fix. -.- The ONE time I don't insist on getting a warranty on an electronic.

Alright I need to head over to see the dogs. Hopefully I'll get a chance to post tomorrow! I need to make regular updates a thing again. Have a good evening!

Unintended Break

Hello everyone! I didn't plan on taking a break from blog posts. My stomach was quite upset for several days (cold + working out probably didn't help). And I was sucked into the book "Along the Way" which was pretty darn good. It's one of those books that you can easily go back and reread after a break. I'll be writing a review of the book soon.

I haven't gotten a chance to write recently. I've been thinking about how I want to move forward with my side story. I also bought 6 books while out antiquing (including one giant book of some Steven King short stories) for $14 dollars! I am wanting to start a Dean Koontz book "Innocence" either tonight or tomorrow.

As for editing I'm waiting to get my other computer fixed. It'll be nice to have a reliable computer (unlike this one!). Plus this upcoming Nanowrimo I'm not going to restart the 3rd book (as I had intended) but instead edit the first book. Plus I'll consider entering some contests as well.

Another reason I've been so busy is because I'm pet sitting. Watching 3 big dogs, 4 fish, 1 cat, and 1 turtle can be time consuming especially since they are a half hour away. But it is quite fun to watch all of them.

Last thing I wanted to write about is this awesome website I found. Check out All Indie Writers - Resources for some cool information about writing. Have an awesome evening! I'll hopefully be writing and get that Channillo series going soon.

Soon to be 21!

Hello everyone! I'm only hours away from being 21. It feels weird because I've celebrated it a few weeks ago (when my aunts were in town) and I'll finally be able to legally drink in the U.S. Now, I wasn't one of those teens drinking like crazy but an occasional drink is nice sometimes. At least I wasn't posting it on social media (unlike many other people).

It's also strange to be drinking in the US because I've technically have been in 3 countries where I could drink. Costa Rica sort of counts, even though I was a few months away from the legal age there, but I only had sips of alcohol. Then I visited France and the most drinking I did was at a wine tasting (to which I cringed at every dry wine). And finally in Brazil I drank occasionally but never as much as my peers.

I've always taken the perspective that alcohol should be a social event and not getting sloshed. I believe if the U.S. were to take this approach there wouldn't be as many teens and young adults getting in trouble with it. At my small college, less than 3 thousand students, we have a good amount of first years get alcohol poisoning. But, this wouldn't be an easy fix, and would probably take a few generations to take hold.

I guess the main reason I've been thinking about it is because both of my grandpa's were alcoholics. My one grandpa, who died a year ago on my birthday, was an alcoholic that couldn't say away from drinking despite trying to stop several times. And my other grandpa was bad but, with his new wife, I think he is doing better. I never want to get addicted to alcohol, or any other substance other than writing, because the thought of it freaks me out.

Alright enough personal views and thoughts. I'm making some progress with the side series I want to do. I'm right now working on character info for the main people in the story. I'm also trying to figure out how long I want my chapters to be. I'll probably work on it some more before bed. After I get the first chapter prepped I'm planning on going back with my main writing and start fixing it up some more!

That's about it. I've reached 6+ k views to the blog now! And I almost freaked out that it was July for camp nanowrimo. It's not. ;) Also after my birthday I'll be working on a list of good sources for writing and what not. :) Have a good evening!

PS: These are my big plans for tomorrow! [Texas Roadhouse!]

24 Episodes in 3 Days

Hello everyone! You may be wondering where I went. I have started my internship and I have to say people who do data entry do not get paid enough. <rant> Yes, it's redundant and "easy" but if you're a perfectionist (like myself) it gets very annoying! </endrant>

So, I decided to get Hulu since it's summer break and I didn't get caught up with Grey's Anatomy. And, yes, I did finish the whole series in 3 days. I rushed through it but I may rewatch it before Season 12. Hulu only has a week free and I really don't want to pay for it (since I have Netflix).

At first I thought it was a waste of my time to watch through all of the series instead of writing.
But, I quickly realized I'm trying to jump into another project quickly. I haven't even gotten my W-4 in yet to Channillo (sorry about that) but my writing seemed rushed with that project. I think by taking a step back it helped clear my mind.

I'm most certainly the type of person to rush into something interesting. I may start rethinking my concept tonight. I'll (hopefully) buckle down on writing at least by tomorrow. I've found it harder to bring myself to write. For one, the concept of being an author with no stable income, is absolutely terrifying to a college student with no money. And two, it's hard to visualize the field because of all of the stereotypes and realities of being a writer. I think I've gotten caught up in the fear of writing and need to just relax a bit.

Alright I think I'm going to hop off for the night. Only a few more days until I turn 21! And also I'm very close to hitting 6,000 page views overall! Pretty good considering April and May I was essentially MIA in the world of blogging and social media. Hopefully I'll post another update soon. Also, I may try to include more interesting articles once again into my blog posts. :)

Relaxing!

Hello everyone! I haven't did too much with my most recent writing or editing. I've mainly been relaxing and I spent some time with my grandma today. We had a mani/pedi which was ok but I like doing my own nails! Oh well, it was still nice.

I need to start doing some serious reading! I have 2 different books I have to read. The one is for a book tour, which I can read on my kindle, then there is another one that wants beta readers. If I don't need to do anything tomorrow I may start reading then! I'm going to get the book tour one set up on my kindle. Once I'm done I'll be writing a blog review of it!

If you want to sign up for a blog tour go to Novel Publicity to check out the benefits! I posted the picture of the book I'll be reviewing! Have a good evening! (Hopefully a longer blog post soon!)

A window closes and a door opens

Hello everyone! So, I officially did not qualify for the contest I previously mentioned entering. But, I am planning on fixing it up and trying with another contest. :) I should be studying my last final but I just got some great news! I signed up for Channillo and requested to be an author. The great news is that they liked my story concept!

The only bad news, I want to get started writing now. Yes, it will be with another book series, but I figured this would be a good way to gain some readers and learn what to watch for in my series. Plus it'll help keep me on a plot line instead of going back and changing things every 2 days. I currently have it to update monthly but, depending on time, I might do another series as well.

The last few days all I can think about is my third book! Yes, I need to fix up the first and second, but I'm still debating what I want to add into this third book. I will probably start editing the first book (again) with a pair of fresh eyes.

Also I may have gotten on a Twitter list or notification to follow. I've gotten over 100 followers in this last week alone. I did just get up into 2,600 awesome followers so that's my guess. Otherwise everyone is following me for my occasional updates. Either way, thanks for following and tag me in a post if I didn't follow back!

So in less than 15 hours I will have the freedom to write to my hearts content. If you have a minute check out Channillo and check out the memberships they have to offer! I'm going to do a little more studying before going to bed. Have a good evening!

Slightly Less Stressed

Hello everyone! It's been a while since my last blog post. The good news is I'm officially done with my courses. Now just to survive my finals. I played in band and my recital so now I'm done with music events until next fall.

Now I just have 1 paper, 1 presentation to edit, and 2 tests until summer. A bit overwhelming to say the least. I'm going to try to get my paper either done or close to done tonight. I also need to make note cards so I can study for my two tests. 4 more days until I can do some serious writing!

But until then I need to focus on my finals. Also, if you haven't seen Mad Max, it's pretty good and worth a view. Have a good evening everyone!

(Also thanks to all my recent followers on Twitter!)

Almost Done!

Hello everyone! I'm nearing the end of my junior year and it seriously can't come soon enough. I'm sick of group projects, mainly the one that's bad, and need to relax. I might also be doing another book tour on my blog, later in June, but I haven't heard back. Once school is done I can finally focus my attention on my book and really fine tune it. :)

I heard back from the contest. Well, more of the summary of what I wrote and what they understood. There actually was only one main negative comment so I was excited about that. But, I definitely need more than 750 words. A thousand would have been perfect for the piece I was writing. And if I don't win that contest I'm definitely modifying it so I can get more detail in there.

I won't hear back from that until June. Also click here for May and June writing contests that you can apply for. A LOT are on my birthday (May 31st) so I'm pretty excited for that. I will most definitely be trying to incorporate writing short stories into my writing routine. Getting feedback is important and I think I can learn a lot from it.

Oh, and I forgot to mention, that I will be at the same internship that I was at last year! Hearing back from them made me remember that I started my book last July! I definitely want to be getting close to done with my first book by the 1 year and then maybe letting it sit for (what is this the fourth or fifth time) so I can be really positive that everything is perfect.

Alright, I need to do some more homework before my classes, so that will be all for today. Hopefully I can post again this weekend or at least be active on Twitter. Only 13 more days until I'm free for the summer!

Strange Events

Hello everyone! I am having a bit of a dilema with the strangeness of my life right now. I essentially have two and a half weeks of college left. But why, now towards the end of the term, is there this nice calmness? Seriously, this is easily the only weekend that I feel like I could relax and not stress out trying to get everything done. Verrrrrryyyyyyy strange indeed.

Ok, so it's really not that strange, but for someone who desperately wants to write it is. Also before I forget:
GOOD LUCK REACHING 50,000K+ CAMP NANOWRIMOERS!!!!!
(Also you can change the time of your area if you need an extra hour to get to your goal. :D)

And if you've already reached it then congrats!!!! I am planning on participating in the July camp still. Not quite sure what I'll do but hopefully I'll figure it out.

So, I submitted my story a little more than a week ago to a contest. They said they would reply in about 10 days so essentially tomorrow I find out how I did. Which is really petrifying. I mean, technically I don't lose anything but the $15 application fee, but it feels so much scarier.

This is how I will be tomorrow. My boyfriend will essentially be staring at me like Flynn is.

That's about it! Hopefully I can do another update on this weekend. Until then keep checking my twitter because I have been trying to get on there every night (without being on it for hours!). :) Have a good evening!

Weekly Update: Contest Time

Hello everyone! I believe weekly updates will probably be occurring until this summer. Thankfully the Relay for Life event went off without a hitch (other than needing more smaller change). I learned event planning is more convenient when you don't need to talk to 2 different people who apparently won't communicate. Yay. I just need to keep telling myself only 3 more weeks until my summer break.

I submitted my 750 word story to a contest earlier this week! I realized that I had given up on my dreams of becoming a writer when I was much younger. I understand having realistic goals (and unless by celebrity fairy dust you make it big right away) it can be a long and difficult road. So at the end of July will be when I was finishing up my very first draft of my book.

So, my plans for the summer other than landing an internship, are to work on my story. I may participate in Nanowrimo Camp and be a rebel (short stories!) or I'll just browse the forums. I just realized that April's Camp is still going on (it feels much later than April). But, for now, I believe the short story line I had anticipated for 20 Lines will have to wait until May 18th (last day of finals).

Alright, so I'm going to work on homework before babysitting, and hopefully I can have some time to write as well. Have a good day and keep checking back for updates!

(Also cross your fingers that on May 1st I get some good news from the contest!)

Less Time; Less Posts

Hello everyone!

Sorry I haven't been updating frequently. I've been busy with school work and my sorority. I'm still planning on making the 20 lines (or a different website) story. I now just need the time to write! Hopefully after this week I'll be a little less stressed and can get started on that.

If my school work doesn't let up I might be going to weekly or bi-weekly updates that would be more manageable. So hopefully that will help and I'll have a little more time to write as well! And don't worry I'm still editing my book! I probably won't have too many more updates about that until this summer.

Also I might change my blog a bit and have spots on the sides for people with websites to advertise on rather than using google! I will probably want to have website advertisements that would be willing to let me have an ad on their website as well. Then I wouldn't have to deal with money and it can be free!

On the plus side I'm finally feeling a bit better! I have a bit of a cough but it's manageable. Plus it's better than that annoying ear irritation. I should be making a full recovery! :D

Alright, that's all for this update. I'm off to formal! Have a good night!

Sickness :(

Hello everyone! As my title says I'm now sick. I've been coughing on and off and now I have a sore throat. Plus my ears hurt as well. So this will be a short blog post!

I've been thinking about the 20 lines (or whatever website I use) story. I'm hopefully going to have some more free time since I'm officially done with my 1 credit class for a few weeks. I don't think words could express how much I want to write daily! I keep trying to set time aside but so far it hasn't worked out.

So I believe that's it for tonight. Cross your fingers (and your toes) that I feel better and can start writing again! Also, bonus points if you can walk with your toes crossed. :) Have a good evening!

Hello Again

Hello everyone! It's been a while since my last post! I meant to write last night but the internet went out. Also, if you want to watch a good movie, check out Interstellar. I just watched it last night and it was pretty good.

So writing wise I probably won't make much progress this weekend. Hopefully I can get started on some of the requirements for my paper. Granted, it's only 4-5 pages, but I still need to make sure I write it well. I'm still checking out between 20 Lines, Tablo, etc. because I still haven't decided which will be the best to use.

Alright so here are my upcoming plans! I'm hoping to post a few chapters of the book I'm thinking of picking up (and writing by the chapters). I'm also planning on submitting that other short story to that contest. Then if I have more free time I want to start editing my first book again of the trilogy. I think I may go through once more and then start up with fixing the second book. I'm still fighting with the plot so hopefully I can determine what will be the best.

That's it! So, if you're still traveling this weekend to see family for the holiday, please drive safe. I hope to have more updates soon! I should (hopefully) be less stressed for at least a few weeks. I'm also planning on making an Nanowrimo camp account so I can browse the forums. :)

Quick Update

Hello everyone! I'm going to be busy the next few days. So, if I don't post right away, don't be too worried! I get to do 2 tests and write a paper this week! I'm just really glad I get Good Friday off.

I also received several emails showing interest in having me post some writing on a website. I believe I'll use 20 lines but that will most likely be my project for Friday. I already started writing a little bit of it yesterday. But, until I get my 5 page paper done, I'm going to refrain from writing.

Also, as you may have noticed, I went a bit crazy with the Walking Dead tweets. The episode was just so good! Sometimes when there are several seasons it can drag a bit. But now I have to wait until October (which is also when I'll be a senior and that much closer to the real world! :0). At least there will be a summer series!

Alright that's it. Unless I think of a reaaallllllyyyyyyy good April fools prank that's all for tonight. Have a good evening!

Over 5K!

Hello everyone! I'm wondering where my week went. My upcoming week isn't going to be low stress due to Easter coming up. So, of course since we'll be missing a few classes for our break, my teachers really feel the need to get their information crammed in. Yay.

So the only writing I've been doing is for school work. But, if I can get some more hw done tonight, I may write for a little bit. I'm still thinking about working on that other book series and having the 750-1,000 words for the chapters. I know, it's really sort of unusual. Yes, I technically have a book done. But, I really don't want to rush the publishing of the book. This is more of a creative side story.

If you want me to write my series for free, comment below and retweet my blog post like crazy! Or email me at contact@elizabethlight.com! I've already made it to 5,000 blog views (which is amazing considering how busy I can get). Also, probably next weekend, I may post the DIY easy canvas art that I did for my boyfriend as a present. :) Again, if you're interesting please let me know!

Alright that's about it. I'm going to get back to my absolutely wonderful homework. Because this isn't feeling like rote learning (essentially learning a subject only for the upcoming test/quiz/etc). Which is sort of depressing. But, when there's several classes in a very short time frame, makes it harder to focus on all the subjects. Eh. Only 36 more weeks in my college career! So, until next time, take care!

Confusion + Frustration = Ughhhh

Hello everyone! I meant to post yesterday, because I found some really cool links, but I forgot to update and publish it. I most likely won't be able to post again until tomorrow night. Unless I get a lot done tonight and tomorrow morning.

So, you're probably wondering about the blog title. I had been very excited about this upcoming site, Channillo, and I thought it would be great to publish on there. Which I may still do. However what I don't like is that you have to pay to subscribe. Now when I initially looked at this website I thought it was implying that the authors would pay that fee for the series.

Needless to say I'm a bit frustrated. Also, for the simple fact that I can't give much time to my writing at the moment. I think I'm going to try and find another website that I could post some writing on. However that will probably be at least another week or two away from officially happening because (with my new idea) I haven't even gotten to start writing it.

Alright, so the only good news I have is that my Twitter account has gotten over 2,300 followers! That's all I have for this blog post. Check out these awesome articles. :) And, as always, have a good evening!

Short Update!

Hello everyone! Other than being busy I've been doing well. I also watched the Walking Dead and it was really good! Only 1 more episode left.

Which really makes me want to write a post apocalyptic story! And I wish I could have more time to write. If I can get my homework done tonight or tomorrow early I want to write. I am most definately ready for this summer so I can focus on writing.

Alright, that's it! I will hopefully be able to update with more soon. I haven't submitted my story to that contest but I do plan on doing that soon. :) It's not due until April anyway. Have a good night!

Finally Back!

Hello everyone! I've had quite the week. But now I don't have homework tomorrow (supposedly). I'm just very excited for the weekend. I probably won't have time to write but I am hoping that I can have some time to get ahead on homework.

So, as I previously mentioned, I will not be able to write. But I've been thinking about doing April Camp Nanowrimo. I think I will only shoot for a certain word amount (like 20K words) so I can hopefully get some writing done. Trust me, this is more frustrating than you can imagine! All I want to write but sadly I don't have any time. :(

Alright, well I don't have anything else to add. I'm planning on updating the blog to be blue. Hopefully I can have more consistent blog posts! Until next time! [Also I promise longer updates in the future!]

Long Time No See!

Hello everyone! It's been almost a week since my last blog post! College has been very busy (30+ pages of reading a night) and this weekend wasn't much better. One upside is that I went to go see "Cinderella" and it was pretty cute. Since I went on Friday I was able to see the short Frozen film (which they probably decided to keep at the beginning on the movie since then) and it was really cute as well.

So, you're probably thinking, "You haven't done any writing!" Well, I actually did get a little bit done. 750 words to be exact. It's for a contest that only allows Flash Fiction of 750 words. And it may be a prequel to the other book I'm thinking of writing. Or I might just tie the characters into the future. :)

Also tomorrow I will have a blog post that is part of a book tour! It should self publish tomorrow at 2pm Central Time (12 pm Pacific Time). I hope that it'll help all of the authors that are participating. I'm also planning on checking out their books as well!

Alright that's all I have for tonight. I can't wait for April. I'll be done with my 1 credit class and might be able to sleep more. Well, until the second 3 week class comes up. Yay. Have a lovely night!

Settling Into Classes

Hello everyone! So far classes have went well. I haven't gotten much sleep but that's quite alright. I'm enjoying all my classes. And, my 10 am dance class won't start until April, so I'm very happy about that. I have a lot of readings and my schedule was thrown off a bit because my teacher wanted us to read two articles for today. Eh, oh well. I just need to read about 30+ more pages of reading before 1pm tomorrow. Oh, and of course, be able to answer questions without notes for the one class. Ugh oh well.

So I haven't gotten to edit much. I'm hoping to spend some time this weekend getting that done. I also will need to get a paper done by next Wednesday so I have to accommodate for that. I'm still thinking about doing the short stories. I haven't officially decided but I think that might be a good style for me to attempt. Then I could even publish them (probably self published) for everyone to read. :)

That's all I have time to write for tonight. The only thing I have to add is that the "Life As We Knew It" series apparently is up to 4 books. I'm really tempted to get the Kindle Unlimited for a month just so I can get them. If I'm not too busy this summer I'll probably get that plan and go book crazy for a few months. Hopefully I can write a longer post tomorrow. Have a good night!

Back to the Real World

Hello everyone! I disappeared a bit this weekend. Friday I went out shopping with a college friend and Saturday I spent time with my family. The good news is that I'll (hopefully) become more consistant with my blog posts again. The bad news is college starts up again tomorrow for me. Yay. I think I'll enjoy my classes but I love this freedom of being able to write and edit whenever I want.

Speaking of editing, I've made some good progress but decided to stop for a little while. I'm worried that I might not be happy with the plot if I edit too quickly. I'm really hoping that I can get ahead this term so I can spend some time editing. For April's Camp Nanowrimo (which I may not officially do) I don't think I'll go the traditional route of one story of 50k. I believe I'll save really getting into the third book for July's camp (if I event wait that long).

Instead I may try my hand at short stories. I don't usually write short fiction. But, I think it would be a really good thing to try. I always see the plots that other people don't want to use (ah the adoption page of Nanowrimo). So that might be a good alternative while I'm still focusing on my trilogy. It's still the beginning of March so I'll ponder it for a few weeks.

Alright well I don't have any interesting links to share this time. I may bring back word of the day or if I find a quote I like. But now I'm going to (attempt to) sleep. Hopefully I don't have weird dreams about college. Have a good night!

World Book Day!

Hello everyone! I found out (via twitter) that today is World Book Day! I was pretty excited since I didn't realize there was such a thing. I need to pick up a good book (or download one on my kindle). I still haven't gotten back into that book I mentioned back in January. It rarely happens to me but sometimes I just don't get past a certain part in the book. It's weird since it hasn't happened in a long time but I'll probably reattempt that long book in the summer.

So, not too much has happened with my writing. I had planned on doing a lot of editing today. However, my grandma's car battery died today. So, because my mom no longer has a Sam's membership because of the divorce, I had to go in with my grandma. Probably could have gotten out of there a half hour early but, because the information was under my dad's account, he didn't have a way to page us.

Also, for all my long time followers, you'll notice that I updated my blog background! It's green for March and then I'll probably switch to a pretty blue scheme. I couldn't resist being festive for St. Patrick's day (27% Irish!). And I fixed up the side bars so now there are two instead of just one!

Alright, so that's it. I'm going to include some links at the bottom of the page with book suggestions. Several of the websites will be Buzzfeed but that's only because, once you get in a certain streak, they keep suggesting similar articles! Have a good night.

Inventing

Hello everyone! This blog title is a bit misleading. I ended up taking a few (dozen) buzzfeed quizzes. So, I found out in my past life and future life I'm supposedly an inventor. I thought it was pretty funny so I decided to title the blog post it. Also, the movie Snow Piercer (Netflix) was fairly good. Lots of ways that it could have been better (with how the story line went) but it was still pretty good.

So I'm still making progress with my book for the editing. I wasn't able to do as much as I wanted. But I was also doing some cleaning as well. I'm still really excited to keep editing this book. I still have the other ideas that I plan on pursuing once I get these books  done.

That's it for now. Check out this funny link here for people's point of view on the English language. Also, 21 ?'s Australians have for Americans, was pretty funny as well. It's enjoyable to hear about other cultures and to see their point of view. :) Have a good night!

March 1st

Hey everyone! It's been a few days since my last post. It was my Dad's birthday on Friday and then I completely spaced out on Saturday until I went to bed. Whoops. So, I've seen a few good movies lately! "Big Hero 6" was adorable (I wanted to see it in theaters but didn't get around to it) and I loved how the previews didn't give it away whatsoever. Also I watched "Earth to Echo" (on Netflix) and it was better than expected. I'll admit I was yelling at them a bit for being kids and not getting stuff done quickly. Otherwise pretty cute.

I've also been doing some editing. Most of it is comma's that my editor either fixed up or added to help my sentence. So, I've been thrilled with that. I'm still really dying to rewrite the post apocalyptic book ("The Walking Dead" isn't helping) but I'll stay away for now. I'm also going to look into the April Nanowrimo since (luckily) my three week class isn't then. But for now I'm going to plan on not participating but maybe being active in the forums instead. :)

The last thing I have to add is that I might be doing some promotions using my Twitter account. I'm thinking about having the service on Fiverr since I'm still getting followers every day. I'm going to request that only book promotions go through so then, that way, it won't feel like spam. :) Otherwise I'm done for the night! My plan is to go back to editing.

(Also I'm slowly but surely fixing up the page on the blog. For example, I removed some stuff off of the side bar and I've updated some of the pages at the top. :D)

Snow Go Away

Hello everyone! It's been a rough day for me. I've just been really tired and not up to much. I did get a few things accomplished but not nearly as much as I had hoped to! Oh well, it's break, and after next week I'm going to be busy again.

I haven't started reading more over my book. I decided to not rush through the reading and take my time. I'm still considering what will be the best approach from the first book into the second book. So, as soon as I'm done rereading, I'm going to get back to the second book. :)

So hopefully you all enjoyed the little link I had in my last blog post! :) I thought those were some really pretty pictures. My plan is to keep including links that I believe are interesting. I found this article: Stephen King on Writing: Throw Out Your Thesaurus! I thought it was interesting and made a good point. :) That's it for now!

Check out this great deal!

Awesome News!

Hello everyone! I have two pieces of good news. The first is that my grades came in and I got all good grades. Second, my book is officially done being edited! I shall make another blog post and share his link in that one. He was really thorough and put a lot of comments into why he changed things.

Which makes me super excited! I personally don't remember every single English rule, many people don't, so it's nice to have a fresh pair of eyes catch what is wrong. So far it just looks like comma's are my enemy. :) I'll accept that! I'm planning on tomorrow, if my day doesn't get filled with plans, to read my book and see the edits that need to be addressed.

So my other two story ideas are going to have to be on the backburner. I'm half tempted to write on 20 lines with those stories just so I can get a little bit done. I'll mull it over and decide if that will be best. Sadly when college starts up again I'll be busy. Hopefully I can really get ahead in order to be a little less stressed. I believe that's it for tonight. I'm going to (hopefully) have a longer post tomorrow! Have a good night!

Edited:

Also, on stumble upon, I found this really cool link. Check out these amazing 29 photos!

Back on Track!

Hello everyone! I ended up binge watching Grey's Anatomy yesterday and today. And playing a lot of minecraft. I haven't felt the best so it was nice to relax. Also I have found my document of my second book. My slow tablet didn't reassure my stress. But, now it's online, so I can access it easier.

I'm planning on doing some reading tonight. It's been at least a month of the book sitting so that's good! I'm also planning on changing some of the plot. I probably won't start editing right away (other than the little things that I find) because I don't want to rash change the book. A previous book I wrote I went a bit too quickly without thinking about the plot.

I'm also thinking about 2 books to work on after I'm done with the trilogy. The first being a remake of the previously mentioned rash book. It's going to be a complete remake with a few of the key characters. The other book is going to be more of a sci fi book. Yeah, I know writing in three different genres is risky as a beginning writer, but at least all of them will have a strong action base. :)

Alright, I'm going to go back to cleaning up. I'm going to be doing laundry tomorrow as well. So, once I get a small area cleaned up, and then will start reading. :) Also, I heard back from my editor and I don't think it'll be too long until I'll get my new version back! :D So I believe that's all for tonight! Have a good night. :)

Offically Free

Hello everyone! I already have missed a day of writing a new blog post. I had to help Ryan get prepped for his final last night. He had his today and thinks he did pretty good. I've already have gotten most of the information for two of my classes! It would appear that I'm going to get some good grades! I'm happy considering how much I had to do this term.

So, I haven't gotten back into my writing yet. I think tomorrow I'm going to locate where my writing for the second book is. It must be on my tablet. So, as soon as I do find it, I'm going to get it backed up and start writing again! It feels weird to finally be able to write and not have to worry about papers!

Alright, I believe that's it for the night. The only other thing I have is that I'm considering getting a logo/social media design from Fiverr. Otherwise I just need to keep focused on my writing so I can get a lot accomplished before break ends. :) Have a good night!

Freedom!!!!

Hello everyone! Sorry I haven't posted in nearly a week. I've been busy with college activities and lots of studying. At least my flute recital and band concert went well! :) I had two tests yesterday and a presentation (plus turning in a paper) for today. Plus I went running around for a bit with my mom and grandma so that helped me relax a bit.

So, now that I'm on break, I plan on writing. Now I was originally planning on writing the third book. However, my editor just gave me an awesome title or my first book, and I got thinking. My second book has been sitting for a while and I'm not super content with it. But, I just got an idea of a section I'm going to take out and fix up a bit, so that way my new book title for the second book will work. And I wasn't really happy with the amount of courtship scenes to begin with.

Well I know this wasn't a long post. I'm sort of anxious to write so I think I'm going to shift gears and start working on that. After I take my very dry contacts out (which are currently annoying me) so I can focus better. I plan on having more updates soon and they should be more in-depth. So please keep following for updates and I hope you have a lovely night!

Only 6 more days

Hello everyone! Sorry I haven't gotten around to a new blog post. I actually have a good amount to update on for once! So, lets get to it. :)

So, on Monday I watched the movie "John Wick". It's a pretty good movie. It's got a long of action and also keeps a good pace. But, if bloody movies aren't your thing, then you might get a bit squeamish. I also watched "Kill the Messenger" which I thought was another good movie. It was based off a true story. Now, watching these two movies back to back might make you a bit paranoid, because there were a few points where I was thinking that the plot was different. Whoops! haha

Activites and college are going pretty well. I actually got a bit busier with some volunteering and assignments. And, it'll be my last night of band tomorrow for the term. Then all I need to do is my flute recital and band concert on Valentines day!

Alright, so you're probably wondering "Are you even still writing?" Yes. Yes I am. I decided Monday night that I would write for 25 minutes before focusing on other things. An hour later and 3,000+ words confirms that I didn't get as much done. But it was a lot of fun to write that much! :D I am restraining myself until next Tuesday night. Then I'm going to binge on writing. And I'll get ahead with my assignments so, when I start next term, I can write a bit as well.

Last thing is that I did happen to find a short term advertising so I can get more page views to the blog. I've certainly gotten quite a bit. My ultimate hope is that, you lovely paid viewers, will stick around and keep checking out my blog! :) Also, it's my 4 year anniversary with my boyfriend! We won't be doing anything until next Thursday when he's done with his tests. :) Have a good night!

A Little Writing

Hello everyone! Sorry I haven't been on. I've been busy writing 13 pages for two different academic papers. I still have one more paper plus the interview left plus my two tests. The main thing keeping me moving forward this term is the two week break so I can write!

I did write a little bit last night. I'm thinking I might skip ahead to another section. I'm moving a bit slow right now. However, I did think of a good idea on how to revamp a previous book. Granted, it'll be after I get done writing this series. :)

Also, I went to a flute master class this morning. With a master class, the musician will generally listen to a few other musicians (such as students), and then give them advice on how to improve. I was not one of the students up there (which I'm grateful for) but I still learned a lot. My recital will be next Saturday (I haven't mentioned this before because it would have been hard to perform in Brazil!). I'm nervous but more excited to practice my piece. And, hopefully what I learned today, can help me improve my practicing. :D

I think, since I can procrastinate with my interview and last paper, I'm going to write for a bit! :) Also, I'm considering starting up a book review for a fee to do on the side. I will try and get back on track with my blog posting!

Super Quick Post!

Hello everyone! Sadly not much to update on. Other than 99% of the roads in my area not being cleared off. Today I'm pretty sure it was only because of the good weather that cleared up the roads! But, since I'm using my grandma's car, it isn't nearly as bad as what it could be.

I'm still really bummed that I can't write! I'm tempted to start doing some writing this weekend and next week! Haha And still no word from the editor (which is good) otherwise there's 0% chance of me paying attention to finals. Ok, probably 75% but still. Not nearly as productive as I should be!

Speaking of productivity I'm going to get to writing my paper some more. I've gotten a good start on my first paper. Now just need to finish and get started on the other paper! Have a good night!

Super Bowl

Hello everyone! I don't have much to update on at the moment. I went bowling this weekend (eh scores) and watched half of the super bowl. Sadly, for my boyfriend's house, their dish satellite is covered in snow. Oh, and we got soooooooooooooooooo much snow where I live. Blah.

Anyway, I'm counting down the days until my break. I'm absolutely DYING to write! Sadly, I still have two papers I need to write. I'm going to get focused more on that tomorrow. Tonight, I need to do some homework and try to get ahead on homework. Granted, it's already 11pm, but I know I probably won't go to bed for at least an hour.

So the last thing I have to update on is that I've gotten more page views in January than I did in December! That's pretty awesome! I probably won't do that again (considering the month is shorter) but it'll still be fun to try and get up there. You need to keep coming back until I can get my book done and ready to sell! :) Have a good night!

Exciting news!

Hello everyone! I am now, officially, treasurer of my sorority and also philanthropic chair of the non profit club I'm in! Whoooo! Also, I did pretty good on my geology test so I'm glad to have that over with.

Alright, onto the writing. So, my editor will be a while. Which is probably for the best considering I will be busy and have tests coming up. But words cannot express how excited I will be to have time to write. If I could get a lot done in my papers (a big if!) then I would feel a lot more relaxed about writing.

As for the website, I thought Wix would be great and wasted an hour on their website. Sadly, to get my domain to transfer, I would have to pay for a monthly fee to get premium. Over the weekend I'm going to put some effort into finding a website to at least get the domain transferred onto.

I believe that's it! Hopefully I can get a longer update in soon! Have a good night. :)

Pent Up Energy

Hello everyone! I have quite a bit of pent up energy. Luckily, I got most of the classes I wanted for next term. Not quite sure if I'm going to have a PE or if I'll wait until next year. But, I did attend a lunch presentation today, and I learned about a nearby Non Profit! So, that was pretty neat. And, the book that I have to read, write a paper on, and present, doesn't sound nearly as bad as I expected.

Back to my pent up energy. I desperately want to write. But, I know that if I start, I could easily go until 3am. :( I'm also thinking of a neat Sci Fi story but I'm not planning on making a trilogy out of it. Then again, I thought my current book series would only be two books. Oh well!

I'll have along day and night tomorrow. So, I may not be able to write a post. I just have to keep telling myself only 3 more full weeks and then I'm done for this term. Have a good night!

Good and Bad

Hello everyone! Good news! I no longer have to deal with 1&1! Now, as someone who has taken business classes, I don't like saying bad things about companies. But all I really needed was help with setting up my domain! It really shouldn't be that hard to help. So, now I'm officially blog.elizabethlight.com

That's where the bad comes in. I'm not sure if that means I can't connect the URL with a website. Or, if I can connect it with a website AND the blog. Sadly, it won't recognize my blog just as a website. Which, would make my life a whole lot easier. Ughhhhh.

So, I've been dying to write. Unfortunately, I have to read a chapter, read articles, figure out what separate articles to use for a paper, read a book and write a report, and I have a test in my geology class. But, please cross your fingers for me at 6pm central tomorrow, while I register for classes. I am really hoping I can get my complete schedule. It'll still be busy, but if I can get this schedule,  should be able to have time to write!

Yeah, that would be really lovely. Anyways, I need to kick myself in gear. But I will be investigating into my domain information. Hopefully this doesn't lead to a half year ordeal! Have a lovely day!

Long Day

Hello everyone! I didn't get much accomplished today (other than Grey's Anatomy) but I feel much better after last week. Yesterday I did some volunteering and was able to see some of my family from Chicago! And I got my Christmas present of Amazon gift cards! So, I might get some eBooks since I got stuck on the other book and haven't finished it yet.

My domain transfer SHOULD have went through. However, the confusing email my domain provider sent, made me lock the domain transfer. So, instead of asking "Hey, are you wanting to transfer your account?", it just deleted it. I'm being VERY hopeful that google domain won't freak out like my previous provider.

Well, I don't have much to update. With two papers (one being a book report) I'm probably not going to be able to write for a little bit. It's frustrating but I'll have to deal with it since  want to get good grades. Ugh. I really hope some publisher loves me, my book becomes really popular, just so I can stay at home and write. But I still need to put a lot of work into my books before that will become a reality. Have a good day!

100th Post!

Hello everyone! This is my 100th post! *Throws confetti*. Sadly my domain hasn't gotten accepted. But, it's supposively going to be automatically transferred on the 27th! Cross your fingers that it will FINALLY work. Yesh.

Anywho, no new updates about my book. I took a really long time getting to my editor so I'm going to be very patient. I don't know if I'll get a chance to write tonight. Hopefully tomorrow I will get a chance to do that. It stinks not being able to write. And, I'll most likely continue being busy, until after finals. Hopefully I can get ahead on homework. But I'm excited to write my third book and then go back and edit the first and second book!

Also, I've gotten to 1.9k followers on Twitter! I'm pretty excited about that. When, not if, my book gets published I'll make sure that all of my followers will see a post at some point in the day! haha :) I believe that's it! Have a lovely day!

Hello everyone! I've been a bit busy with college. At least my car is working again! Tomorrow is going to be busy for a bit but hopefully I'll have some time to write tomorrow night. I'm really excited that my next post is going to be my 100th post. That, is pretty cool, and I'm hoping I can get a good update in!

So, my first book is still being edited. It's still as nerve wracking but I'm very grateful that I have homework to keep me busy. Otherwise, I would be really antsy. But I need to figure out a time to focus on writing the third book and getting back to the second book as well. :)

I'm also hoping, with my 100th post, that I'll also have good news about my url. Google finally made it easier to upload the domain name. I haven't seen the advertisement for it but, apparently, it was released on the 13th! I need to fix a few things and then it should be ready to go. :) That means I can get business cards (when I decide to publish) and also make nifty banners. Or pay others to make the banners. That might be a bit better.

Alright, I need to get ready for bed. Because otherwise I probably won't go to sleep for at least another 2 hours. And I need to get a little reading in before my classes as well. Have a lovely day!

Flea Market Flip

Hello everyone! I've been fairly busy today. Tomorrow, what I thought would be a relaxing day, has turned into a hectic mess. I have a 9am college meeting, then have to go to two symposium day events, and hang around for band. Oh, and my car may or may not work. However I think I'm going to try and find a quiet space to do some writing during the day. :)

I've been dying to write more! I have to work on a book report and start looking for a modern article (GQ, Seventeen, etc). But, that's obviously not the writing I want to be working with. However, if I can get ahead and be less stressed in the long run, then maybe I'll be able to write more.

As you may be wondering, why "Flea Market Flip" for the title? Well, I really enjoy the show, and I can record old episodes! So, I'm watching it while I'm writing my blog post and hopefully can write a little bit as well.

My final update is that I've gotten past 3,000 views!!! I'm very excited about this. I can't wait to be posting when my book is finally completed! Take care!

Busy Bit!

Hello everyone! I had a lot on my plate working on my assignments. Next week shouldn't be as hellish bad. Plus my car is currently having trouble with it's power steering. But this half of the term is going to be quite busy! I'm going to attempt to get ahead so I can hopefully still have time for writing.

I did a little bit of writing today. But, sadly, I didn't do too much. I'm hoping to get some more writing in after writing the blog post. :) I've also been thinking of the prequel's in front of all my books. I think it'll flow quite well!

The only other thing I have to update on is that I have a really good chance of becoming treasurer for my sorority! Granted, I'm up against one other person, but it would appear I'm the only one with accounting skills! My skills are very little but I actually remember the very basic accounting that the sorority would require so that works well.

Alright! I hope I can update you all tomorrow night with some more information. :)

Quick Post

Hello everyone! This is going to be a very short post. I had my presentation today and it went well. I'm just tired and need to get a lot done by Friday. Wish my luck! I may not be able to post tomorrow. But I've been thinking a lot about the prologue for the book and how I can have it be an introduction for all of the books. Of course, I won't mention who it is but by the third book the reader will probably know who! I'm pretty excited about that but can't do anything until Friday at least! Unless I write like the wind for the 6-8 page paper and get it done tomorrow. Which, with a little creative writing, I could probably do it. :D

Have a lovely day/night! :)

Busy Week Ahead!

Hello everyone! I didn't get a chance to post yesterday. I got my book from Lulu in the mail! Just from a first glance I can see some changes I need to make. But, I knew that was coming, and I'm still waiting for my edit to come through from my editor. :)

My boyfriend started reading a bit of it. He mentioned a great idea, to have a prologue, and I think that could really make my book great! I thought that I could slowly add this side story. Plus, it'll all really be for a certain book (I won't say which). So, as you can maybe tell, I'm DYING to write. Do I have the time? Of course not!

Anyway I have a bit more homework to do. Plus getting my powerpoint for the educational done. But after this week I should have a little time to get some writing in. :) Have a lovely night!

Breaks Over

Hello everyone! My break is over now. I'll have my 9:30 am fitness class tomorrow. :) I'm tempted to get a gym membership in my home town (even though my college has a free work out center) because the local one is 24 hours. Haven't decided yet. But I also may start trying to do my workout videos at home. (Hey, one of my new years resolutions!)

Anywho, no progress on my third book. I'm expecting a huge burst of energy tomorrow when I (technically) can't write. But I'm still thinking through some scenes. I'm also paranoid about my first book so that probably isn't helping.

Also I just got a great idea. I may make a book of inspirational quotes. Maybe a 365, maybe a short one with some different sections, but its an idea. I'd probably make it for free as well. I would have to look into if you can charge (pretty sure) and the legal issues behind it. I know there's a lot of websites with inspirational quotes. But, it's an idea.

Well I believe that's it for tonight! Tomorrow I'll probably write a longer blog post. Have a lovely night!

Writing Road Block

Hello everyone! I haven't been up to much today. I watched "No Good Deeds" and that was pretty decent. I can't always get into movies like that (but I do recommend "You're Next" [Netflix]). Now that is a pretty good one.

Like my title says, I've hit a bit of a block. It's not the ideas that I'm having a problem with. It's just getting past the current section in my book. I may try again after this blog post. I am probably going to stay up for a bit since tomorrow I will be busy. Annnndddd Monday I have to get up early.

One, really exciting thing, is that I've 1,820+ followers! I think that's pretty awesome and I'm extremely happy. Also, I think I mentioned, that I'm going to look into Traditional Publishing first. After this series I may self publish. But, by several things I've read online, it's a good idea to mix. That way I can build up an audience!

Alright, I think that's good for tonight. I'm going to try and write a post earlier tomorrow night. :) Have a good day!

Plot ideas

Hello everyone! I had a fairly slow day again. I had a dentist appointment today (no cavities!) but I have to go back and get one cavity fixed up. My dentist said there must have been an air bubble. So, a five minute job, requires me to go back to the dentist. I may try to get n sooner than what I scheduled.

So, as I mentioned in the topic, I have new plot ideas! I think for my love concept I'm going to change it up for the third book. Originally, I planned on having the new guy become the final guy, but that's kind of silly. Since I don't want to give too much away that's what I'm going to leave you with. [Plus I've been toying with concepts for future books!]

I'm still trying to get the domain name up. I've been reading that other people have been having problems as well. I'm just hoping that I can get it figured out soon! It would be great to advertise (without BlogSpot in my URL) and also if I wanted to get business cards as well. I'm also going to make a tumblr at some point as well.

Alright, I believe that's it. I'm going to do some notecards. I'm going to get my hair done and go out with my mom. I need to get my big and my little Christmas gifts. :) Also, my book was printed from Lulu and is on the way to my house! I'm really hoping the outside cover looks nice because the book jacket is going to be reallllyyyyyyy bad. (Hey, there's a reason I'm nota graphic design major!)

Have a lovely day! :)

Short days

Hello everyone! I didn't have much to update on yesterday. I had to get my grandpa from an airport a few hours away because the flights were cancelled to our local airport. I haven't had muse lately for writing. I think it's the weather and anticipation for returning to school. Of course, on Monday, I'll probably be dying to write! I'll be starting my fitness class then.

So, the only thing I really have to update, is that the free book has shipped out. Hopefully that will help wit my motivation. I also have thought of some plot details to add to the second book.

Tomorrow I have a dentist appointment and then Friday I have a hair appointment. And I need to get the powerpoint for my informational presentation done. Plus I have a lab that I also need to do. So hopefully I'll have a post tomorrow and I'll get some muse!

Lots of Snow

Why, hello there! Pleasure to have you reading my blog. So, a few days ago, it snowed but I didn't have a to deal with it. Today I've had to deal with the snow. It's flying everywhere and made cleaning my car off hectic. But now I won't be busy until Wednesday, when I can get my hair done, and Thursday when I get my teeth cleaned.

Again I've been procrastinating. But it's not avoiding the writing. I'm stuck at a point and don't know how I want it to proceed. I thought of a lovely plot twist for the ending that I like. So after this post I'm going to try to start writing again. :) Another thing, I'll probably work on getting a chapter or two up on the internet soon of my first book. :)

No luck with the URL yet. I'm not sure how to approach all of this. I'll try it again tonight and hopefully another email will get to someone that can actually help me. Good news is  I'm creeping closer to 1,800 twitter followers. Only about twenty away from it. :)

I'm tired and don't have any other updates. I hope you have a lovely day/evening. :)

Procrastination

Hello everyone! The title says it all. I've been procrastinating today. The only big accomplishment I've had is completing season 2 of Grey's Anatomy and starting into the third season. But, I've been trying to think of how to add more detail to my first book.

Yes, I've already sent in the first book. But I know I should have probably added a bit more detail. Sadly it feels like I either add too little detail or too much detail. Also, after some research online, most publishing companies want at least 80k. I'm at 70k. Which at least isn't too far off.

Also, as promised, I've been working on the URL for the site. Hopefully it'll finally come through and  work. Otherwise I'm tempted to get a different URL company to help me. Because this is beyond annoying.

Any who. I think I'm going to try and type. See where it gets me. If you are/know/recommend a literary agent please contact me. I haven't officially decided to go the traditional route but I would love to get more information. Have a lovely day and evening! :)

Editing Book!

Hello everyone! I didn't have much to say yesterday. But, I sent my book into my editor! I'll give out his name once I get my book back. ;) I'm also going to be formatting my book so I can get a print edition. That way, I can give two to my friends that said they would read it, and I can get one for myself! And of course I'm expecting to find stuff to edit.

So, now that leads me back to my third book. Once I get my formatting done (for the first book) I'll go back to writing!  I'm very excited to proceed with the final book in the series. I have thought of a few things I'll be incorporating into this book and in the second book.

Today I saw some of my boyfriends family. It was really nice and I was even offered for an internship! It's geared towards the public health field. Sadly it wouldn't work for the non profit certification but I'm still tempted to take the internship. And, I would be up by a big city, which could help my odds of getting published. It's food for thought. :)

I got my free book from Lulu and I already know there will be some problems with the formatting. And the book cover is quite horrid! At least with createspace they had freebie covers I could use. I still need to work on it. But, for the odd number pages needing to be on the right side. Ughhhhh. At least if I do self publish I'll pay to get the help formatting it.

Alright, I believe that's it! I'm thinking about putting the first chapter or two up on a website. That way you can read a bit of it! :) Have a lovely day!

Almost Ready for Editing

Hello everyone! I haven't felt the best today. I think I'm getting a sore throat. So, I was very inactive, and focused on getting my editing done!

I had well over 140 word document pages to read (double spaced). Thankfully, since I've done one reread over this book already, I haven't had to fix up much. Sure, I'll probably need to add more detail and fix up areas, but I think it's in pretty good shape. So currently I'm at 258 word document pages. I'll soon be editing the page formats so I can get the 3 free books!

Hopefully I can get everything wrapped up tonight. I'm at least wanting to get my word document done by tonight so I can send it to the editor. It's scary and super exciting at the same time. And, after I spend some time with my mom tomorrow, I can get back to writing the third book.

I've been investigating still if I should go the traditional route or the self publishing route with my book. I may try getting a literary agent (if interested please feel free to contact me) and submitting my work to a few big publishing companies. If that doesn't work then I'll figure it out from there. :)

Also, I didn't quite get to 2.5k but I'm still going to donate to Nanowrimo. Just a smaller amount. :) I am also on Scribophile (here) but I haven't been too active yet. I'll update how I like the site soon. Have a lovely day! :D
