Quick Update

Hello everyone! I'm going to be busy the next few days. So, if I don't post right away, don't be too worried! I get to do 2 tests and write a paper this week! I'm just really glad I get Good Friday off.

I also received several emails showing interest in having me post some writing on a website. I believe I'll use 20 lines but that will most likely be my project for Friday. I already started writing a little bit of it yesterday. But, until I get my 5 page paper done, I'm going to refrain from writing.

Also, as you may have noticed, I went a bit crazy with the Walking Dead tweets. The episode was just so good! Sometimes when there are several seasons it can drag a bit. But now I have to wait until October (which is also when I'll be a senior and that much closer to the real world! :0). At least there will be a summer series!

Alright that's it. Unless I think of a reaaallllllyyyyyyy good April fools prank that's all for tonight. Have a good evening!

Over 5K!

Hello everyone! I'm wondering where my week went. My upcoming week isn't going to be low stress due to Easter coming up. So, of course since we'll be missing a few classes for our break, my teachers really feel the need to get their information crammed in. Yay.

So the only writing I've been doing is for school work. But, if I can get some more hw done tonight, I may write for a little bit. I'm still thinking about working on that other book series and having the 750-1,000 words for the chapters. I know, it's really sort of unusual. Yes, I technically have a book done. But, I really don't want to rush the publishing of the book. This is more of a creative side story.

If you want me to write my series for free, comment below and retweet my blog post like crazy! Or email me at contact@elizabethlight.com! I've already made it to 5,000 blog views (which is amazing considering how busy I can get). Also, probably next weekend, I may post the DIY easy canvas art that I did for my boyfriend as a present. :) Again, if you're interesting please let me know!

Alright that's about it. I'm going to get back to my absolutely wonderful homework. Because this isn't feeling like rote learning (essentially learning a subject only for the upcoming test/quiz/etc). Which is sort of depressing. But, when there's several classes in a very short time frame, makes it harder to focus on all the subjects. Eh. Only 36 more weeks in my college career! So, until next time, take care!

Confusion + Frustration = Ughhhh

Hello everyone! I meant to post yesterday, because I found some really cool links, but I forgot to update and publish it. I most likely won't be able to post again until tomorrow night. Unless I get a lot done tonight and tomorrow morning.

So, you're probably wondering about the blog title. I had been very excited about this upcoming site, Channillo, and I thought it would be great to publish on there. Which I may still do. However what I don't like is that you have to pay to subscribe. Now when I initially looked at this website I thought it was implying that the authors would pay that fee for the series.

Needless to say I'm a bit frustrated. Also, for the simple fact that I can't give much time to my writing at the moment. I think I'm going to try and find another website that I could post some writing on. However that will probably be at least another week or two away from officially happening because (with my new idea) I haven't even gotten to start writing it.

Alright, so the only good news I have is that my Twitter account has gotten over 2,300 followers! That's all I have for this blog post. Check out these awesome articles. :) And, as always, have a good evening!

Short Update!

Hello everyone! Other than being busy I've been doing well. I also watched the Walking Dead and it was really good! Only 1 more episode left.

Which really makes me want to write a post apocalyptic story! And I wish I could have more time to write. If I can get my homework done tonight or tomorrow early I want to write. I am most definately ready for this summer so I can focus on writing.

Alright, that's it! I will hopefully be able to update with more soon. I haven't submitted my story to that contest but I do plan on doing that soon. :) It's not due until April anyway. Have a good night!

Finally Back!

Hello everyone! I've had quite the week. But now I don't have homework tomorrow (supposedly). I'm just very excited for the weekend. I probably won't have time to write but I am hoping that I can have some time to get ahead on homework.

So, as I previously mentioned, I will not be able to write. But I've been thinking about doing April Camp Nanowrimo. I think I will only shoot for a certain word amount (like 20K words) so I can hopefully get some writing done. Trust me, this is more frustrating than you can imagine! All I want to write but sadly I don't have any time. :(

Alright, well I don't have anything else to add. I'm planning on updating the blog to be blue. Hopefully I can have more consistent blog posts! Until next time! [Also I promise longer updates in the future!]

Long Time No See!

Hello everyone! It's been almost a week since my last blog post! College has been very busy (30+ pages of reading a night) and this weekend wasn't much better. One upside is that I went to go see "Cinderella" and it was pretty cute. Since I went on Friday I was able to see the short Frozen film (which they probably decided to keep at the beginning on the movie since then) and it was really cute as well.

So, you're probably thinking, "You haven't done any writing!" Well, I actually did get a little bit done. 750 words to be exact. It's for a contest that only allows Flash Fiction of 750 words. And it may be a prequel to the other book I'm thinking of writing. Or I might just tie the characters into the future. :)

Also tomorrow I will have a blog post that is part of a book tour! It should self publish tomorrow at 2pm Central Time (12 pm Pacific Time). I hope that it'll help all of the authors that are participating. I'm also planning on checking out their books as well!

Alright that's all I have for tonight. I can't wait for April. I'll be done with my 1 credit class and might be able to sleep more. Well, until the second 3 week class comes up. Yay. Have a lovely night!

Settling Into Classes

Hello everyone! So far classes have went well. I haven't gotten much sleep but that's quite alright. I'm enjoying all my classes. And, my 10 am dance class won't start until April, so I'm very happy about that. I have a lot of readings and my schedule was thrown off a bit because my teacher wanted us to read two articles for today. Eh, oh well. I just need to read about 30+ more pages of reading before 1pm tomorrow. Oh, and of course, be able to answer questions without notes for the one class. Ugh oh well.

So I haven't gotten to edit much. I'm hoping to spend some time this weekend getting that done. I also will need to get a paper done by next Wednesday so I have to accommodate for that. I'm still thinking about doing the short stories. I haven't officially decided but I think that might be a good style for me to attempt. Then I could even publish them (probably self published) for everyone to read. :)

That's all I have time to write for tonight. The only thing I have to add is that the "Life As We Knew It" series apparently is up to 4 books. I'm really tempted to get the Kindle Unlimited for a month just so I can get them. If I'm not too busy this summer I'll probably get that plan and go book crazy for a few months. Hopefully I can write a longer post tomorrow. Have a good night!

Back to the Real World

Hello everyone! I disappeared a bit this weekend. Friday I went out shopping with a college friend and Saturday I spent time with my family. The good news is that I'll (hopefully) become more consistant with my blog posts again. The bad news is college starts up again tomorrow for me. Yay. I think I'll enjoy my classes but I love this freedom of being able to write and edit whenever I want.

Speaking of editing, I've made some good progress but decided to stop for a little while. I'm worried that I might not be happy with the plot if I edit too quickly. I'm really hoping that I can get ahead this term so I can spend some time editing. For April's Camp Nanowrimo (which I may not officially do) I don't think I'll go the traditional route of one story of 50k. I believe I'll save really getting into the third book for July's camp (if I event wait that long).

Instead I may try my hand at short stories. I don't usually write short fiction. But, I think it would be a really good thing to try. I always see the plots that other people don't want to use (ah the adoption page of Nanowrimo). So that might be a good alternative while I'm still focusing on my trilogy. It's still the beginning of March so I'll ponder it for a few weeks.

Alright well I don't have any interesting links to share this time. I may bring back word of the day or if I find a quote I like. But now I'm going to (attempt to) sleep. Hopefully I don't have weird dreams about college. Have a good night!

World Book Day!

Hello everyone! I found out (via twitter) that today is World Book Day! I was pretty excited since I didn't realize there was such a thing. I need to pick up a good book (or download one on my kindle). I still haven't gotten back into that book I mentioned back in January. It rarely happens to me but sometimes I just don't get past a certain part in the book. It's weird since it hasn't happened in a long time but I'll probably reattempt that long book in the summer.

So, not too much has happened with my writing. I had planned on doing a lot of editing today. However, my grandma's car battery died today. So, because my mom no longer has a Sam's membership because of the divorce, I had to go in with my grandma. Probably could have gotten out of there a half hour early but, because the information was under my dad's account, he didn't have a way to page us.

Also, for all my long time followers, you'll notice that I updated my blog background! It's green for March and then I'll probably switch to a pretty blue scheme. I couldn't resist being festive for St. Patrick's day (27% Irish!). And I fixed up the side bars so now there are two instead of just one!

Alright, so that's it. I'm going to include some links at the bottom of the page with book suggestions. Several of the websites will be Buzzfeed but that's only because, once you get in a certain streak, they keep suggesting similar articles! Have a good night.

Inventing

Hello everyone! This blog title is a bit misleading. I ended up taking a few (dozen) buzzfeed quizzes. So, I found out in my past life and future life I'm supposedly an inventor. I thought it was pretty funny so I decided to title the blog post it. Also, the movie Snow Piercer (Netflix) was fairly good. Lots of ways that it could have been better (with how the story line went) but it was still pretty good.

So I'm still making progress with my book for the editing. I wasn't able to do as much as I wanted. But I was also doing some cleaning as well. I'm still really excited to keep editing this book. I still have the other ideas that I plan on pursuing once I get these books  done.

That's it for now. Check out this funny link here for people's point of view on the English language. Also, 21 ?'s Australians have for Americans, was pretty funny as well. It's enjoyable to hear about other cultures and to see their point of view. :) Have a good night!

March 1st

Hey everyone! It's been a few days since my last post. It was my Dad's birthday on Friday and then I completely spaced out on Saturday until I went to bed. Whoops. So, I've seen a few good movies lately! "Big Hero 6" was adorable (I wanted to see it in theaters but didn't get around to it) and I loved how the previews didn't give it away whatsoever. Also I watched "Earth to Echo" (on Netflix) and it was better than expected. I'll admit I was yelling at them a bit for being kids and not getting stuff done quickly. Otherwise pretty cute.

I've also been doing some editing. Most of it is comma's that my editor either fixed up or added to help my sentence. So, I've been thrilled with that. I'm still really dying to rewrite the post apocalyptic book ("The Walking Dead" isn't helping) but I'll stay away for now. I'm also going to look into the April Nanowrimo since (luckily) my three week class isn't then. But for now I'm going to plan on not participating but maybe being active in the forums instead. :)

The last thing I have to add is that I might be doing some promotions using my Twitter account. I'm thinking about having the service on Fiverr since I'm still getting followers every day. I'm going to request that only book promotions go through so then, that way, it won't feel like spam. :) Otherwise I'm done for the night! My plan is to go back to editing.

(Also I'm slowly but surely fixing up the page on the blog. For example, I removed some stuff off of the side bar and I've updated some of the pages at the top. :D)
