First Draft Done!!!!

Hello everyone! I have some exciting news!!!! Instead of cleaning out my backpack, I finished up my editing, and was able to have a cliff hanger! So, I stayed up really late and then slept weird. But it was definitely worth it!

So, from this point, I'm going to do my best to avoid the document. That way, if I can wait the 5 weeks, I'll have a fresh view on it. I had added one chapter, that was 30 pages, but I only added 20 pages overall. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to edit out a lot but obviously I got a good chunk out! When I get back I'm planning

But, other than the book update, I don't have much to write about. I have to pack later and my mom decided today would be great to go out. So, after I go out with her, I'll probably come back to work on my packing. :) Have a great day everyone!!

Packing and Celebrating

Hello everyone! I have been quite busy. On Friday, I went to Walmart ($260 later) I bought everything I needed for my trip. But, of course, I've remembered other little things. But not too bad compared to how I normally I am! Then I had to go to volunteering and run some more errands. Saturday I didn't do too much and hung out with friends. And then today was my boyfriend's mom's birthday! So, I got her a gift the other day, and we went out for dinner. And I had an ESA meeting for our board, which I'm a junior chair, and I'm hoping next year I can get a higher spot.

So, I haven't done editing, which is about 60+ pages and I'm going to add a bit more. But this book has been on my mind non stop. I'm absolutely DYING to write the next book. I'm constantly thinking of the next story and writing it. :) Oh, and just to be forewarned, I have plot cliffs lined up for the ends of the first two books. :3

I realized I haven't done a social media update! I haven't done much with Google+ but Twitter is growing! I'm super excited and hoping that I'll be able to comment during my trip. :) So, if you're swinging by the site, look over at the Twitter feed and it might have a more accurate update! :D

Yeah, I thought I would have a lot more to write. I'm going to clean out my backpack a bit and then I'm planning on editing!!! :) And then tomorrow it'll be packing and continuing to get things together.

Temporary End of Courses

Hello everyone! I'm going to be heading into my music class soon. Tomorrow I have free, so I can start packing, but I'll probably be running errands for things. At least in my music class we are watching a movie. I may also run by Hobby Lobby in order to get some spray paint, since I wanted to make my little a gift, so hopefully my plan works out. I have a meeting tonight for ESA, I'll start trying to see who I would want for a little, and I'm super excited about that.

ANOTHER really really REALLY exciting thing is that I'm almost done with my editing! Granted, I sort of gave up with continuously adding details, but I've added a good chunk (an entire chapter for sure). So I'm really excited to put all the editing documents together into one and see how long it is compared to my Initial draft. And this way I can let my book sit for the 5 weeks while I'm gone. Once I get back I'm planning on getting editing done. Hopefully, I can sit done and read through it before winter term starts, and I'll also make notes to myself (most likely) while I'm on the Brazil trip for things to do and add.

Ok, so I have some busy times ahead of me! I'm super excited though but I just hope the time doesn't go by too quickly. And if I didn't already mention, 99% sure I didn't, going to the doctors was fine. I had to get one tiny stitch but it didn't hurt. I hope you all have wonderful days!!!!!!!!!!

Loooooong day turned short

Hello everyone! So, my busy day became drastically less stressful. For one, I decided to go to Pro Fair in the Spring Term to have time to look into the organizations at Pro Fair and also get my resume up to date. The second thing was, after staying up until 2am working on this stupid project, I decided that the 9am advising meeting was not worth the trip to school. So I really only had my presentation.

We were all thinking that not many people would show up for our session. It wasn't on the theme, Identity, and thought only our classmates would be there. No. There were 75 people there total. Our class only has 29 people. So, it was drastically bigger than we all thought. I froze and ended up just reading off my notecards. Had it been a subject that I worked on by myself, therefore giving myself enough time to look into things and plan it out, it would have went well. Instead I found out last night that, yes, I could do imports and exports. Thanks group.

Well, I'm going to the doctors soon. I'll, hopefully, be able to edit later. I still need to do the readings for tomorrow and do a response so that'll come first. I'm hoping that it'll be a quick read but I'll probably be disappointed.

So, I believe that's it. If I do get a chance I'll update later on how things are going. I hope you all have lovely afternoons/nights/mornings. :D

Super Short Update

Hello everyone! I'm especially stressed today. I have to turn in a freewrite paper, not that stressful, and finally meet with my group for the presentation tomorrow, very stressful! So, I may not be able to get online later. I really want to edit but, considering I didn't read the two readings for my music class yet, that wouldn't be a good idea. And tomorrow will be even busier. I have to go to Symposium day, an event my college holds, at 9 am, wait until 1:45-2:45 to present, go to Pro Fair at some point in the day, and then go to a doctors appointment. Yay.

So, most likely no editing tonight since I have to make changes to my resume. And, unless I magically get everything together, I probably won't post either. Have a lovely day and I'll try to tweet updates throughout the day. That is, if I get a free moment to!

Busy Weekend!

Hello everyone! Sorry for slacking on the posts. I almost forgot to go babysitting on Saturday, that would have been bad, and then Sunday I spent a lot of time editing. And I also watched at least 3 hours of the ER stories on TLC. :3 Some pretty interesting stuff and wondering how the heck they lived.

For editing, it's been really good. :D I had worked on a bit a while ago but stopped to think of what I could do next. Well, I sat down last night and half typed and half watched tv for 3 hours straight. Good news, that chapter is now 30 pages and has drama! Bad news, I'm tired and have a bunch of readings to do tonight and a paper tonight. Otherwise everything is good! The next few chapters will be easier to edit, since I wrote those first, and I've already been back to them once to look over it. :)

I haven't done much for advertising the blog yet. As I mentioned before, I may use AdSense unless I find another website that is better. My twitter is still growing at least and the blog views are going well. I still need to fight with the domain name but I'm waiting until tonight, and if I have good connection at home, I may try again.

Otherwise I don't have much to update. I have 9 days until Brazil and a lot more to edit. Wish me luck!

New Life Plan

Hi everyone! I'm extremely excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, today I talked with some different councilors and professors on campus, and figured out that I'm dropping Business. Why? I'm not good at math, my dyslexia makes me want to flip numbers or flip steps etc, and I thought it was really dry. After 6 freaking math courses I'm officially done with it. -.- Why I didn't find this out sooner is quite depressing. Oh well, I'll be able to do Communications and a Non-profit Certification. What my new life plan is finish college, volunteer for a year (have to work out those plans), and then go to get my Masters with the scholarship I just got from volunteering, and quite possibly work while getting my Masters and get off scott free. Oh, and if I work for Non-profit I may be able to get my current loans payed off. This plan is elaborate but so exciting! And, of course, be a part time writer. :) Even if I do make it big I'd probably want a day job, or at least part time, to make me social. Yes, force me to be social, otherwise I'd be consumed by the Internet.

For editing I do need to catch up but, since my group wants to start meeting for our presentation on Wednesday on Monday (Yay for planning ahead and giving sufficient time -.-) I have all weekend to edit! I may have to read 2 chapters, and probably should get ahead on music reading, but if I edit all weekend I can justify slacking off. I've been a hot mess today might as well relax!

So, I'm going to do some more research on the stuff I can do with a Communications major and the Non-profit! Other than the extremely obvious choice, because I like to make my life difficult, and see what other paths I can take with the degree. And, of course, edit my booty (Arggggh it's Pirates day matey. Walk off the plank! :-8) <- Pirate with a mustache)

Hello everyone! Sorry I didn't post yesterday. I had tutoring and ESA so I've been pretty busy. I have to go in and meet some teachers tomorrow, whooo, and get some paperwork taken care of. I don't know if I mentioned this but now I'll be doing: Marketing and Communications with a Non Profit Leadership Certification! So, it's pretty exciting.

And, I can use it to market my book! Ok, that'll be down the road at least. I have to do some reading and write up a response so that's next to do on the agenda. I swear I'm going to be doing my editing soon. Tonight I only have to read part of what I didn't read for Wednesday, don't worry we didn't even touch that information, so I'm hoping for good editing time!

Hopefully this all comes together. Another good thing is that my editor can get in me in during November or December. And I'll have a week off before classes so, other than getting my school books in line, I can get to reading over my stuff one more time. Then I'll send off to him and be worried all day and all night. But I'll keep my mind busy by writing my second book! I'm hoping how I start my second book could help me make a cliff hanger for my first book. Right now it's kinda blah. So, I'll need to think of a good cliff hanger because I have a love/hate relationship with them.

Also I'm on over 1,000 page views. Whoo! I'm pretty excited about that. :) I'm thinking while I'm Brazil I'm going to set up AdSense or another advertising company since I may not be able to promote my blog as much. So, at least that's a possiblity. I seriously need to go do the rest of my work!

Gooooooood evening!

Hey everyone! Sorry to leave you all hanging! School work is piling up and everyone, myself included, is just r-e-a-d-y to go on the trip. I spent an hour online looking at jcpenneys and found some shirts and a couple pairs of shorts to order. I at least have 14 days before the trip so I should be able to get them in, try them on, and return the one's that don't work. Sadly, all of the shirts I like, are unavailable in my local stores. So, to be safe, I just ordered the size I thought would work and a size above to be on the safe side. :)

For the editing: I haven't gotten much done recently. But, as I just said, I have 14 days so that doesn't leave me much wiggle room! After this update I'm planning on reading the 2 chapters and then, hopefully, have time in the morning to edit. I don't like being this busy. I reallllyyyyyyyyyy want to get all my editing done so that way, for the 6 weeks, it can be the books resting time. But while I'm gone I'm going to try to keep making notes on things I want to change/add so then I'll actually remember. :)

Otherwise there aren't many updates. I'm getting a lot of followers on twitter, now you can just click the button to your right and follow me!, and I've gotten to find a lot of authors. I'm also almost to 1k page views! Whoooo. :) It stinks that I'm going to be possibly without wifi for 5 weeks. I wanted to keep updating everyone! I will be taking my surface because, if it were to get stolen, my grandma said she would give me hers. Even if it were stolen I wouldn't want to take her tablet. So it better not get stolen. :D

Ok, that's all. I noticed that lately I've been using "so" and :) excessively. I blame my tired brain.

It's been busy

Hello everyone! Sorry I didn't put a blog post up yesterday. I planned on it but the Internet was being difficult to deal with. But at least it's working today!

I haven't gotten to do editing yet. I've been working on homework all weekend and yesterday my head was a bit fried from editing other writings. So, needless to say, I haven't gotten to work on that yet. But I do plan on working on it tonight.

Tomorrow I have to get up early to talk with a teacher about dropping my minor. Then probably talk with another teacher on scheduling, and then go to classes and get my Accounting major dropped. Oh, and I have a Samba class that I need to go to tomorrow night. So, sadly, I won't be able to jump on unless I do that early in the morning.

Otherwise Twitter is going well and I've been trying to promote my blog in the free time. I need to still fight and get the website name changed finally. I hope everyone is having a good day/night and feel free to comment! I need to read a book that I won on Goodreads to I'll probably post some comment about it as well.

Friday was busy!

Hello everyone! So, this morning I knew I had to go meet my advisor, but she decided to let me know that I needed to come an hour early. I rushed to get ready and to get to Augustana. I found out that I'll need to take a course over the summer and also she thinks we can fit a Communications Major in. Yay. Since I didn't drop my Accounting major or French minor she wanted me to do so. I ran to the building where my accounting advisor used to be. I sent an email and then was able to meet up with my new Communications advisor. So, in order to get that major added, I also had to see another teacher, and she also has this certificate program for Non-Profits. Now I'll be involved in this program, have to take certain classes, and have a full time internship at a Non-Profit. It'll look great on my resume at least. I have a feeling I'll want to cry at some point about my scheduling Oh, and I wasn't able to meet with either teacher to drop the major and minor. -,-


Anyways, I haven't edited much because I've been fighting with my tablet to connect with the internet. Apparently something is wrong but yet my boyfriends laptop works. So, after I write up a quick letter, I'm planning on editing for a bit. I might not be able to edit all of my book before Brazil. :( I'm being optimistic but there's a lot to do still!

Fried Brain

Hello all! It's super late and I'm planning on going to bed shortly. My ESA event went great and hopefully a lot of girls will come back for pledging. :D A major concern I'm having is taking my tablet to Brazil. I would be really upset if I did lose my tablet. But, on the other hand, I really wanted it so I could continuously upload my Brazil pictures so they'll be safe. So, I may be buying a cheap tablet, one I found was $50, so I may go that route. Then, that way if it gets broken or stolen, I won't be too upset. Although I would have to make sure that I kept my photos online or in a password file so it's not super easy to break into. I'm not stupid enough to put bad photos, let alone take them, on any device. Pull out an old school, stand there for 45 minutes attempting to smile the entire time, camera that can't hook up to the internet and then you're pictures will be safe. *hint to celebrities with 'the cloud'*

So. As my title says my brain is fried from trying to figure out tablet information for almost an hour and then finding out that it doesn't matter if it only has a micro usb, because apparently the connectors are super cheap, so welcome to the future people. Yeah. I should probably get some sleep. Anywho, planning on making a nice, coherant, blog post in the morning. Or afternoon. Ok, before midnight. I was good at having a schedule and then college came back into play. But, tomorrow I can edit, so that keeps me slightly awake at the moment.

Another thing. If I do buy cheap tablet and can't find a cheap keyboard I may not post as much. Or they will be extremely short posts such as "the beach is pretty!" etc etc. I'm thinking too far ahead. Who needs drugs to be this rambly, or have strange dreams, when I'm naturally like this when I get tired. Yay. My dad says I'm lucky. -.-

Ok, good night people, or if you're waking up go catch some more zzz's with a proper alarm on. You've earned it. But seriously, proper alarm = 20 alarms if you're that person. You know who you are.

Busy week!

Hello everyone! My week has been fairly busy. I wasn't able to finish all my readings but, as it turns out, one of my teachers was sick and cancelled class. Now I have to 2 two articles and then give a scholarly one page review of the readings. Hopefully it won't take me too long!

Also, some good news, I was able to write about 8 pages last night with a new scene. It took a bit because of trying to plan everything out. I have to finish up the day in the scene so there'll be some more to write. I'm still very excited to have the first draft done. I also saw a guitar that reminded me of one of the dragons. Too bad the electric guitar was almost $400. I cried a little on the inside to be honest. It was perfect in my opinion. And, keep in mind, I only play the flute. So a double whammy of sadness.

Well, I need to go print the readings. Hopefully I can write some more. I'll try to update if I can either tonight or tomorrow. Otherwise, I don't have much to update on. Hopefully after tomorrow the week will slow down a bit. I for sure have a paper due Monday but otherwise I hope I don't have too much homework so I can focus on editing this weekend. :D

Getting a late night post in!

Hello everyone! It's almost midnight where I live and I've been busy all day. My sore throat wasn't as bad today. Sadly, my boyfriend's coughing was still bad and he ended up having cold sweats. He ended up leaving halfway through Art class and went to the doctors. He does have bronchitis and almost had pneumonia. He's on three different antibiotics!

I'm really wanting to edit and add more to the book but I haven't had the time to. I still have 2 readings, fixing up a paper, and studying Portuguese for tomorrow. Also, I'll have my ESA meeting at Augustana. But, I do get to find out information on my host family!!! Super excited for that.

Anyways, sorry I can't post more. Hopefully tomorrow I can do an update with more information and maybe edit for a while! Now to read the articles for tomorrow. Yay?

Sick + Need Person to Interview

Hello everyone! I'm not doing too hot today. My sore throat is killing me and I'm very tired. I had gotten some editing done yesterday but sort of got stuck with the new chapter. I think I'm on the right track after sleeping on a few ideas. I've never been more excited for November (since I don't like the cold) but with Nanowrimo then I should be able to get beta readers. I might not be able to participate as much but at least I can socialize. :D

So, I still need someone younger (under 19) and I'm willing to bribe a $5 amazon card. That can be renegotiated but keep in mind I'm a broke college student. I need replies by midnight in order to qualify! I would prefer if you use the contact form to the right but will accept comments as well. And, if you want to advertise a website/blog/book etc. we can work something out. I just need your responses on musical interests.

Other than being sick I think things are going well. Twitters doing good and the blog is getting a lot of views. I still need to work on Google+ but I might wait a bit on that. I will get more into social media after the Brazil trip. But, since we will have internet at the hotel, there's a good chance that I'll be able to post a lot. I'm not sure if it'll be the same in Salvador.

Editing and Sickness

Hello everyone! I'm officially sick with a sore throat and horrible coughing fits. Yay. Thankfully this weekend isn't too intense so I'm able to edit! And relax a bit after the stressful week.

Editing: It's going pretty good. I'm at the halfway point and I'm typing up another chapter now. I'll have to take out a bit in an upcoming chapter but that's alright. I plan on doing more editing once I'm done eating lunch. I may even start the second book before I go to Brazil! That would be super exciting.

On twitter I have gotten over 1,000 followers! That's pretty awesome and hopefully it'll keep growing. I may post on other sites today if my muse runs out. Also, I'm still going to fight with the domain name but I haven't been able to fix it so far. It's been a month since I bought it and it should really not be this hard.

Also it's been a month since this blog has been started!!!!

 Anyways, I think I'm going to go back to editing. If I think of more to add I'll update with another blog post. I'm super excited for this chapter I'm writing!!! Comment or contact me with anything and everything. :D

And I'm back!

Hello everyone! Sorry for missing yesterday. I'm not feeling well, my boyfriends mother has bronchitis, so hopefully I didn't catch that. I've been working on a Brazil paper last night and this morning and it actually hasn't went too bad. I was able to get on a role and finish it up.

So, this weekend won't be nearly as stressful. My music teacher, who had assigned 3 readings last week, said she wouldn't do that again. I just need to start writing a music paper. Oh, and if you are 15-16 and would like to help me with a musical question, I'll pose you as a cousin. My teacher wants a younger generation and I literally don't have contact with the 2 cousins who would be around that age. And I don't have any siblings. -.- Would be willing to bribe. ;)

Writing! I'm super pumped and DYING to write some more. I decided one of my scenes is unrealistic. There would be no possible way it could happen without everyone flipping out. So, I've decided to rearrange some scenes and add a complete other scene! I'm hoping I can work on it later because I'm dying to see the results. Also I can't wait to see how much I've added in detail (and words) for the initial draft. Then, I'll be calling it my first draft, and after Brazil I can get editing!

Yeah, I'm pretty excited. Other exciting news, I'm almost to 700 page views! And I'm getting really close to 1,000 followers. I really means a lot to everyone who is viewing this. I may make another blog post later. I have to go watch a movie from 4:30-6:30 and it's a 50's movie so if I really enjoy it I'll comment later.

Also, on a side note, my mom has offically left the house. I don't know when my dad will be getting served the divorce papers. I know it sounds terrible but I'm really happy. My mom and I are people who get along better if we aren't constantly by each other. So, unless my dad flips out and decides to move, I don't think anything will change at my house.

I survived!

Hello everyone! I managed to survive yesterday, barely, and actually got some good sleep for once. I still have a lot to do for this week (another music reading, 4 journal entries for music, 1 paper for Poli Sci [3 pgs at least], and probably a reading for Poli Sci). Which, doesn't seem that much, but I also have to survive through today! I'm still not looking forward to my art class. Weaving is not a talent I possess well. Basic, yes, other than that, not so much.  Also, ESA and tutoring tonight. yay.

So, book is still on the back burner but I'm thinking a lot for future books. I'm debating on something for the third book, I went back to original plot but for the second book I'm adding a few scenes, so hopefully I can clear that up soon. I'm really excited to start writing the second book! Of course, I haven't finished the editing for this book, but that's alright. :D

My side project for 20 lines hasn't been forgotten. More of postponed until I regain sanity.

The only other update is that my twitter is exploding! 930+! I'll be getting close to a thousand soon. At least with twitter it's easy to update and find more people. I'm also working on a GoodReads account. I'm planning on posting the link here soon and having a blog about it. :)

Busy Day

Hello everyone. Sadly I won't be able to have a long blog post. My week is insanely crazy. Tonight, Wednesday, and Thursday I have to go to ESA meetings at 8pm. And I have to read 120 pgs for tomorrows classes. I had to REDO a reading for today because my tablet decided not to keep any of the markings I made.

So, my editing has been pushed to last priority because I have a lot to do in order to catch up. I even have a short paper due on Friday for one of my classes and I also have to make 4 journal entries for my music class. Whoo.

Internet Problems!

Hello everyone! I've been having internet troubles with my tablet. It finally started working when I got home so that's good! Also my boyfriend had gotten a backlit keyboard, or they sent this instead when I returned my touch keyboard, so I snagged it! He enjoys poking at the screen so I saved $120+!

Editing is going well! I'm still so glad I decided to use Word to edit my writing. Otherwise I would have to go through and find every change and fix it. Now I can continue fixing things up and hopefully get it done before my trip. I also need to still create a few other races. Might as well make a few different races that are more mystical if I'm doing a fantasy book!

You know how I said my car was in the shop? Well, it was in the shop for a week, and then I ended up not having to drive it because my boyfriend was taking me to school. Guess who's brakes just went out? This unlucky gal! My mom was going to borrow my car, backed up, and didn't stop. So, now I still can't use my car. Yay.

Otherwise my other big announcement is that I'm at 900 followers on Twitter! I'm also over 600 page views and hope that keeps growing. I'm planning on advertising my blog more so hopefully I can continue to get new views. :) I'm STILL fighting with blogger and 1&1 for getting my domain changed. I have to do 3 more readings and I have a lot to do for Wednesday. So, if I can get a good chunk done tonight, I may start fighting with it again.
